Squarespace Deepens Commitment to Service-based Sellers with Tools to Help Them Save Time and Manage Their Business

Squarespace’s ecosystem is uniquely suited to support the diverse needs of today’s modern entrepreneurs. We are pleased to introduce tools specifically designed for entrepreneurs who sell services, such as photographers and event planners. New features include branded invoices, proposals, contracts, updates to client intake forms, and projects. This suite of tools allow sellers to easily expand their product offerings and streamline project management to efficiently support their clients’ needs and increase revenue.
“Squarespace is committed to building an ecosystem that offers multiple ways to sell online,” says Paul Gubbay, Chief Product Officer. “Today, a good portion of the sellers coming on our platform are service-based. As one of the few platforms providing comprehensive support to this growing class of entrepreneurs, we are focused on building tools that help them at every stage of their journey, including marketing a business, simplifying workflows, and getting paid.”
From getting hired, to managing project deadlines, and receiving payment via invoicing, the new tools include:
Invoices: Users can easily create and send beautiful, low-fee invoices, customized to match the look and feel of their brand and website style. They can also accept major debit and credit cards, Afterpay, Apple Pay, and other popular payment methods, as well as offer flexible and convenient checkout experience to maximize conversion with Squarespace Payments.
Proposals, Estimates, Contracts: Users can create and share a summary of services and align on contract terms in a beautiful, branded document. This provides a streamlined way to share a scope of work with clients, terms and fees, and capture client agreement before beginning work.
Client intake forms: This tool allows users to capture important project information through an updated client intake form, and allow clients to to upload documents, images, presentations, audio, videos, and other file types. All information collected is securely stored in Squarespace, expediting the intake process and helping to get projects off the ground faster.
Projects: Now, users can manage client information, invoices, and tasks in one central place. They can create invoices, proposals, estimates, and contracts, as well as track the status of their invoices, project notes and milestones, and recent activity.
After completing a project, users can leverage Squarespace’s beautiful portfolio tools to showcase work on their website alongside their offered services. Users can also create and send Email Campaigns to promote special pricing or new offerings to existing clients and leads, and explore marketing tools like Unfold or Bio Sites to further promote their business.
Proposals, estimates, and contracts are available in English on Business and Commerce plans. All other features are available globally on any Squarespace plan. For more information on Client Invoicing, please visit our website.
