More Action Needed after Alcoholic Dad Orders Booze on Uber Eats

    IT’S TOO EASY –

April 25, 2026 – Retired firefighter Glenn Perkins died in January this year after suffering with alcoholism for more than three decades. Shocking photographs taken inside his flat show dozens of discarded beer bottles in torn-open delivery and supermarket bags. Daughter Connie Perkins, 30, tried to contact the delivery company in 2022 requesting they blacklist her father, who would answer the door in hospital pijamas, from ordering any more bottles. But, the company cited its privacy policy and said it could only deal with requests from the account holder.

Glenn’s order history shows he would place orders for drink from local supermarkets including Morrisons and Co-op as early as 6.30am.

Connie said: “He was ordering at half six in the morning – that’s when the shops were open.

“He would order an hour after – one day he ordered at 6.33, then again at 6.40, then again at 6.50, all on the same day.

“They were Henry Westerns, Thatcher’s vintage cider – one of the orders is a bottle of 350ml of vodka.
